If you read under donating a horse it is quite shocking on what is written.

They say they visit the homes in which these horses are placed yet I have never

met this Susan Wellman in person. She have never visited my farm and she has

never contributed any of the donations my way for helping her out.

It also say's they provide the transportation of picking up the horse. NOT! In all

cases I used my truck and trailer, my gas and I have picked up 4 horses now with

no reimbursment.

When I was laid off from my job I reached out to her for help and I could never get

any response out of this women. I needed her help and told her if she could not help

me I would be bringing 2 of the horses to her place and she finally replied telling me

that I could not bring them there and if I did her husband would be standing at the

end of their driveway with a gun. Wow and the funny thing about it is I found a gal

on her facebook with the same frustration telling me that she was also threatened

with those same words.

I have printed out some of the comments on this Susan's Facebook because many express

that she does not respond to emails of people wanted information on horses for adoption.

Its very frustrating to me and I will take it upon myself along with my friends and family

to make sure that any of the horses from some of the greatest race horse owners will be

placed in wonderful homes

The person that is the head of this organization is truly not responsible in so many ways. She uses people to pick up horses from the owner's of race tracks around Illinois and/or from race horse owner's and other foster's does nothing to help with the care of these horses or work very hard at putting these horses in permanent homes.

I have went above and beyond with many horses and have never met this women in person. I have never signed any documents saying that I am only a foster for her and my own cost. I have horses that

I have spent allot of money on for their care which includes hay, grain, vet cost, farrier and personal time and she has yet to offer any financial help.

She is irresponsible in returning emails and calls to not only me but prospective foster homes for these horses.

I have a gal that told me the same story and experience I got and that is if we brought these horses to her property, her husband would be standing at the end of the driveway with a gun! This is no lie.

The gal I spoke to said she loaded the horse and drove up Susan Wellman's driveway and on her way she passed Susan in a vehicle and Susan did not wave or stop or turn around. The women dropped the horse off in a stall of the barn and left.

This is the kind of appreciation most people have gotten to help this association out.

Two months ago myself, my mother, her friend and one of my friends rescued 3 Standard Breds that were going to go to slaughter if they did not get homes. Just to show how quick you can find homes for these horses we paid $100 for each and took them to the vet for coggins and placed them in homes within three weeks of them coming to my farm.

I'm asking that anyone that has been associating in anyway with this group and have had some of the same experiences to post on this blog.

I will continue to work with the race track's in the future to make sure these horses go to loving responsible homes.
